At the beginning of 2009, Chris Hill from England and 3 of his friends embarked on a 4 month world cruise working aboard the cruise ship SAGA Rose. During this time they visited over 40 ports around the globe and made it their quest to search for the "best burger in the world". Eating their way through a total of seventeen burgers over 4 months, Chris and his friends took photos of each burger and rated each one individually in six categories. They then compiled their results at the end of their journey as they sailed into England on April 20th 2009. Chris and his friends voted the Hurricane's Grill Burger the "best burger in the world".
In his words "You'll be pleased to know that yours was the winner. I remember it distinctly because I had one for lunch and then another in the evening.... Having looked at the photos of burgers from such countries as Egypt, Malta, Antiqua, Barbados, Peru, Tonga and New Zealand, we're pretty chuffed to be named the winner.
To Chris and his friends, we'd just like to say "a big thank you" for taking the time to send us the results. We look forward to seeing you again on your next trip to Sydney!
