Congratulations to Francesco Longo, our Hurricane's Grill VIP Friend of the Month for January 2012.

Francesco sent in a photograph of himself with Malcolm Young from AC/DC and is now featured on our VIP Friends page and wall. He has also won a $50 Hurricane's Grill restaurant gift voucher.

Australia Day - Where will you be?

On Australia Day - Thursday 26th January, Hurricane's Grill Bondi Beach, Darling Harbour and Top Ryde City restaurants will be open for lunch and dinner.  There are plenty of events planned and large crowds expected, so we recommend you book as soon as you can on (02) 91307 101.

Also we'd love to know where you will be on the day. Visit our official facebook page and let us know.

Because Bondi Beach and Darling Harbour are expected to have large crowds of people, you may want to leave your car at home and catch public transport. Check out the Australia Day website with links to transport information.

Fun at Bondi Beach on Australia Day

It's not too late to register for Havaiana's Australia Day Thong Challenge at Bondi Beach on the 26th January. Imagine floating on a giant inflatable havaiana with over two thousand people joined together in a line, attempting to break a world record. Last year Bondi, representing NSW, set a new world record with 2068 people floating to victory off the shores of Bondi Beach.

Five states are participating this year. Registration is $25 with $10.00 going to the local Nippers club (North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club) in each state.

Nipper Boards for Surf Life Saving Clubs

Just a few days before Christmas, Mayor John Wakefield from Waverley Council presented 10 nipper boards to eight Surf Life Saving Clubs in the Eastern Suburbs on behalf of Hurricane's Grill Restaurants.

For an hour or so, Hurricane's Grill Bondi Beach looked more like a surf board shop than a restaurant.
